Thumb throttle VS twist throttle

Okay I have had my quad for a few years now and I broke my thumb throttle cable and I had a left over twist throttle. I installed it and was completely scared out of my mind; it was like learning how to ride all over again! I do not care for the twist throttle set up, no thank you. I bought a new cable for the thumb throttle and tossed the twist throttle away.

I have also heard that the twist throttle is a better race option, because the thumb throttle hurts your thumb after a couple of laps? I am by no means a racer so I never encounter these types of problems. I stick with my original opinion and will stick with the thumb throttle.
